The cool thing about fishing is, you can use two totally different fishing techniques with equally good results. For instance, for the beginner or younger anglers, one of the best fishing techniques is utilizing live bait with a spin casting rod. In fact, two types of fishing techniques can be used with live bait. The Angler can cast the bait and allow the bait to dwell or the angler can retrieve the bait. However, unlike artificial bait, the option of varying the retrieval speed is limited with live bait. A methodical slow retrieve works best.
